Its line up features Chris Bradley, the lead singer and bass player, Andy Dawson on guitar, Mark Nelson on drums and Chris’s son Kristian on guitar.

The Old Library gig promises to be very special, as the band will play all the tracks from their debut album ‘Loose n Lethal’ as well as some newer material.

Chris said: “This will be a special night for us, even some of our family and friends have yet to see the band live.

“Also everyone who buys a ticket in advance will be sent the new album free of charge when it’s released!

“It will be the first time we’ve played the first album from start to finish in the UK.”

Savage released their first album in 1983, split up in ‘86, reformed in ‘95 and then took a break in the early noughties before getting back together again.

Andy Dawson said that the highlight of the band’s career was meeting and playing with Metallica in front of 10,000 people -Metallica also famously covered one of their tracks and often played it at early gigs in San Francisco.

Other memorable moments have included playing at the Wacken festival in 2000 in front of 20,000 plus people and playing a gig in New York in the same year.

They released their newest album Sons of Malice in 2012.

Said Andy: “It was a real highlight getting back into the music scene and making a return to festival stages in the UK and Europe, with a tour booked for spring. The boys are back in town!”

Tickets for the Old Library gig are available at www.savageband.com and their Facebook page www.facebook.com/savageuk. Tickets will be on sale on the night subject to availability.

As well as preparing for this live recording, Savage are also writing a new album, which they will record after a short European tour in April.

Both recordings will be released simultaneously later in the year under the title ‘Live n Lethal’.
