Each episode features five live, unsigned rock bands, with celebrity guests appraising the bands’ performances and offering tips and advice from their own experiences.

The premise behind the show is that rock bands receive minimal exposure on national television compared to solo artists and pop music.

In the final episode, the guests will choose a band between them, who will be offered a chance to play at a top UK music festival in 2016.

It is being filmed in the rolling seven acres of land that is to home to Thunder Valley Rocks (MFN) on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border.

Auditions are being held at Thunder Valley over a five-week period with the first having taken place on Saturday, October 3.

Tickets for the remaining shows, which will feature six bands on each, on the 17th, 24th and 31st of October can be purchased via the website, or can be bought on the door each audition night.

The pilot show will be screened on November 14. The celebrity guests will be taken from a range of different eras, and include musicians such as Roy Wood, Suzi Quatro, Kofi Baker, Rex Brown, Rick Wakeman, Ginger Fish, Martin Turner, Mark Brzezicki and more.

The pilot episode will feature Martin Turner from Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, Mark Brzezicki from Big Country, The Cult and Procol Harum along with record producers Pip Williams, and Roger Lomas.

The venue itself is a perfect setting for the show, as it has three stages and a capacity of 600.

Thunder Valley Rocks is a new venture dreamed up by Malc Allured and Rick Eglinton, but has been a long time in the making. Their professional and personal experiences and knowledge means that they have a solid understanding of how the music industry works, and have a lot to offer the program and its contestants.

“Thunder Valley Rocks is a fantastic opportunity to find the next Rolling Stones, U2, Queen or Oasis. The venue with its fantastic musical heritage is the perfect place to host a great live show,” said the venue’s Malc Allured, one half of the duo behind Thunder Valley Rocks.

He is a former founding member and drummer of 70s hit band Showaddywaddy.

In their heyday, the band had 26 top 20 hits, reaching the number one spot with Under the Moon of Love in 1976.

The band was extremely popular in Germany, and toured for months on end around the country.

Aside from Showaddywaddy, Malc has played in numerous bands over the years, and still performs with his most recent band, Hot Motorcycle Club, as well as managing and performing with The Fabulous Teddies.

Thunder Valley Rocks’ Rick Eglinton is a professional land and property agent with years of experience in his field. His greatest hobby is playing in his Foo Fighters tribute band, The Food Fighterz, which reflects his love of rock music.

His experience with his own band contributes immensely to the show.
