Both have been involved in musical theatre for over 20 years and have extensive experience as musicians and actors performing to audiences across the region.

Jonathan Larson’s exuberant East Village rock version of Puccini’s opera La Bohème won the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Larson’s stirring and life-affirming score captures the heart and spirit of a generation of struggling artists, addicts and impoverished young people living in the shadow of AIDS, battling the coming wave of gentrification.

Rent is a gritty, emotional exploration of personal friendship; love and pain set in the background of New York in the 90s, featuring hit classic songs Seasons of Love, Today 4 You and I’ll Cover You.

Not suitable for under 14s, the performances of the musical run from September 16-19. Tickets are £12 standard and £10 concessions, available at www.derbylive.co.uk/whats-on/rent
