Froch set to attend festive skate launch

Nottingham boxer Carl Froch will be switching his gloves for ice skates later this month when the National Ice Centre launches its festive skating season.

Froch will be in attendance for the very first Christmas session at the arena on Saturday 30th November, with dance partner Rachael Cordingley.

The duo appeared on ITV’s Stepping Out in September but had to pull out of the show when Carl sprained his lower back. They will be at the centre for the official launch at 2.30pm.

The National Ice Centre’s Christmas experience will run from 30th November to 5th January 2014 and will feature a giant Christmas tree.

With a large Olympic-sized ice rink, there’s plenty of room to skate with friends, family and colleagues, a centre spokesman said.

Prices start from £6.50 for adults and family passes are available from £25 for a family of four, including skate hire.
