Jonny has been traversing the UK and indeed the world, armed with an impressive arsenal of jokes and his trusty guitar. He’s a regular at comedy clubs, as his crowd-pleasing set sees him regularly ending his sets to standing ovations and demands of an encore.

He said: “As a young Jonny Awsum growing up in Derby I always had two ambitions: to be chosen as the Derby Comedy Festival Patron and to be allowed to roller-boot through The Eagle Centre. My Mum never let me wear my roller-boots in town in case I rolled through the window of WH Smith or Olympus Sports. So I am especially touched that the good folks of the Derby Comedy Festival have now come through for me.”

Derby LIVE are again working alongside other arts organisations in Derby to bring a wide range of events from July 3-12.
