Derbyshire town hosts biggest brass band festival in Britain

The biggest brass band festival in Britain is coming to Clowne on Sunday, October 5.

Two thousand musicians in 43 bands will be competing for honours in the contest at Heritage High School, starting at 10am.

On the previous evening, Saturday, October 4, the school will host the Bolsover Charity Entertainment Contest at 7pm feature Boobs & Brass Yorkshire, Thoresby Re-union Band and Sir Richard Arkwright’s Masson Mills Band. Tickets £5 and £4.
