Dancing the night away

Moscow City Ballet will be presenting performances of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall from February 6-8.

Following a triumphant Silver Anniversary tour, sell out performances and rave reviews, theatres and dance fans alike have demanded that Moscow City Ballet return to the UK in 2014-2015.

The ballet company’s eagerly anticipated tour includes a three-night visit to the Royal Concert Hall, performing two great Tchaikovsky ballets.

Moscow City Ballet’s exceptional repertoire combines artistry, technique, narrative and live music to provide breath-taking productions of ‘big story’ Russian dance.

The audience can not only marvel at the perfection of its corps de ballet but witness the superb dexterity, grace and vitality of the principal dancers from this young and talented cast.

MCB’s artistic director Ludmila Neroubashchenko, said: “We’re thrilled they want us back so soon; demand has been so great for next season that we’re bringing more dancers, more staging and more costumes, which will allow us the flexibility to overlap on some of the tour dates and yet still provide the unique Moscow City Ballet Russian dance experience.”

Moscow City Ballet will be accompanied on tour by the Moscow City Ballet Orchestra which provides a dynamic vitality to this remarkable season of dance.
