Coffee morning in aid of good cause

It runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm and is being held to raise funds for Macmillan.

There will be cakes for sale, plus a tombola and raffle.

The event has been organised by Newthorpe’s Janet Markwell who has been holding coffee mornings in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support for over 20 years.

She explained: “Macmillan are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need.

“They fund nurses and build cancer care centres, they offer help at home, some precious time off for a carer, emotional support and financial help.”
