This will be the festival’s first year and it is very much in the style of such famous music crawl festivals such as Tramlines, The Great Escape and the Camden Crawl. It takes place on Friday, July 31.

Organised and promoted by the owners of The Victoria Inn in Derby, DE1 will take place at the city venues The Victoria Inn, The Brunswick Tavern and The Victoria Suite (located on the top floor of The Waterfall venue).

The line-up so far is as follows:

n Beans On Toast is a British folk singer from Essex, who rose to out of the UK folk scene in 2005. He is well known for his self-deprecating and honest songwriting, which openly deals with the topics of politics, drugs and love.

He has six studios albums and has traditionally released a new record each year on his birthday, December 1.

n Jonny Brown is former frontman of Twisted Wheel.

The band was formed in February 2007 in Greater Manchester by guitarist and singer Jonny Brown and bassist Rick Lees, later joined by drummer Adam Clarke. Embraced for their strong melodies, psychedelic themes and Brown’s irreverent poignant lyrics, the band gained a following amongst old mods/punks and younger heads looking for music which represented their generation.

They were labeled as punk rock, although influences span folk and 1950s/1960s bands too.

n Under the rainy skies of London, the shining sounds of Britpop, Shoegaze and Psychedelia are back in bloom. Locked up in the back room of an East End gallery, Sulk are stirring up 90s inspired sonic harmonies, this five-piece’s influences are less worn on their sleeves, than branded on their hearts.

Bands such as The Stone Roses, Suede, Ride and The Verve are wholly evident, but this isn’t nostalgia for old time’s sake. Sulk mix what came before, and what’s yet to come into crushing waves of beauty, honesty and anthemic bliss for a whole new generation.

n Orphan Boy are based in Manchester, and are originally from Cleethorpes. They recorded a debut album entitled Shop Local that was full of youthful energy, fire and skill, and which sounded like it was blasted out in one ferocious take in a tiny basement. Their live shows soon attracted a rabid following, who remain to this day.

n Rising from the ashes of the hotly-tipped Follow You Home are Derby five-piece Neverise.

With the demise of Follow You Home, the band saw an opportunity to regroup, rethink and move their sound in a new direction.

By chance they discovered their long-time friend, Jessica Matthews, who was already carving her own niche as a solo artist, had always had a hankering to be in a band.

Neverise aren’t merely picking up where FYH left off. They’re starting again from scratch.

n The Swiines are a four-piece indie-rock-n-roll band featuring members from Ripley and Nottingham, among others. They recently supported Jake Bugg at the Capital FM Arena and are set for great things in the future.

n Nick Aslam is one of the UK’s most original sounding acoustic singer songwriters.

He continues his quest in the music industry which has already landed him great support slots with the likes of Mark Morriss (from the Bluetones), Boz Boorer (songwriter for Morissey) as well as playing acoustic stages at some of the UK’s festivals.

He has recently teamed up with former members of The Third Round, as well as the owner of The Victoria Inn, Micky Sheehan, to take his career to the next level, and making himself a full band, Nick Aslam & The Chords.

Gareth Icke has just finished writing his third album, and is touring the new material single across the UK and Czech Republic, before releasing the single to coincide with his second Wembley Arena performance, in October.
