Choir is planning a romantic concert

Some of the members of the Derbyshire Constabulary Male Voice Choir may have been around the block a few times, but when it comes to moonlight and music and love and romance they know how to treat the ladies.

Every wife, girlfriend and long-time supporter of the choir will be receiving a Valentine card from the choir this Valentine Day.

“We all know that behind every good man is an even better woman,” said Kevin Griffiths, choir publicity officer, “and the same is true for our male voice choir – we wouldn’t be able to operate so effectively without the fantastic support and encouragement of our female partners.

“And love will certainly be in the air on Friday, February 13, when the choir will hold their Valentine’s Concert at Stanley Village Hall. Our programme for the evening will contain a number of love songs and we’ll be handing out red roses to female members of the audience.

“So ladies, bring your hubby along and let the choir help to set the right mood. Even if you can’t make it to our concert, choir members would like to wish all of the lovely ladies of Derbyshire a Happy Valentine Day.”

The concert starts at 7.45 and all proceeds are for West Hallam animal charities.
