Famous screen stars from Hollywood and the United Kingdom are heading for Chatsworth.

Amanda Donohoe (Emmerdale, Liar Liar), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives, Dallas) and Maryam D’Abo ( The Living Daylights, Bond Girls Are Forever) are among an international cast who will read short stories in the Duke’s private theatre.

Readings by Elliott Cowan (Happy-Go-Lucky, Alexander) and John Farmanesh-Bocca (I Did Not Forget You, An Engagement will feature in the prgramme on June 29.

The event has been put together by WordTheatre as a benefit night for its education programme in schools.

Edale-based Word Theatre producer Kirsty Peart said: “The carefully chosen stories aren’t just ‘read’ aloud by the actors but performed with incredible flair and expertise.”
