Celebrity-packed line-up at Newark

A host of well-known names feature in the spring programme at the Palace Theatre in Newark - and bosses are hoping tickets for a show will make a perfect present.

Vampires, children’s favourites and musicals are all included in the line up for the 2014 schedule, offering something to appeal to everyone.

Highlights for the January to May season include the 10th anniversary tour of Vampires Rock (25th January) and a brilliant gothic production of Dracula (15th February).

Family favourite Postman Pat performs on 18th February and there is comedy from Jason Manford on 7th and 8th March and Ed Byrne on 13th March.

A production of Guys and Dolls, Ballet Theatre UK’s Little Mermaid and Hot Flush, the naughtiest musical in town, starring Lesley Joseph, are all also on the bill.

Theatre manager Carys Coulton-Jones, said: “We’re thrilled to be ending a successful 2013 with the launch of such a strong season for early 2014.

“We’ve enjoyed a great year this year and with this new brochure, we’re confident that will continue into the New Year.

“We’re covering a lot of bases in the next season – brilliant comedy, family spectaculars with Tap Factory and Immortal Chi and great kids shows with Postman Pat, Humpty Dumpty, Old MacDonald and Noah the Musical - and so much more.
