Cathedral concert for city orchestra
Derby Concert Orchestra’s first concert of 2015 is at Derby Cathedral on Saturday, March 14.
The concert starts at 7pm and will feature three contrasting pieces.
Anton Webern’s Passacaglia is a very early work by that radical composer, while the Violin Concerto of Johannes Brahms is one of his most popular compositions. The soloist will be Sophie Rosa.
The other work is Tchaikovsky’s passionate Manfred Symphony.
