Bands to hold charity gig

Local indie rock band Ruckus are hosting a night of live music on Saturday, April 11, to raise money for Cancer Research and Diabetes UK.

The event will take place at the Dunn Lite Café/Bar, Nottingham Road, Eastwood.

Ruckus are based on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border and have been together for several years. On the night they will be playing a mix of Indie, Rock and Pop covers from the 60s right through to today, including Chuck Berry, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Supergrass and Michael Jackson.

Joining them on the night will be The Shakes, another Nottinghshire band whose influences include The Beatles, Slade, T-Rex, Oasis and The Rolling Stones, and alternative rockers 2 Hours Late, who have had over 20,000 plays on Spotify so far.

Added to this stellar line-up will be acoustic artist Jaque Seviour, supplying the music before and between bands with an eclectic mix of acoustic covers from the likes of Oasis, Arctic

Monkeys, Mumford & Sons and Eminem.

Everything kicks off at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 each with all proceeds going to Cancer Research and Diabetes UK.
