Children will be given the opportunity to explore the castle grounds as they hunt for clues and find missing words. Families who are successful will be rewarded with a special Christmas treat.

Lucy Hutchings, events manager for English Heritage, said: “This fun activity is perfect for families looking for something to do over the Christmas period. Bolsover Castle is a wonderful place for children to explore and enjoy the fresh winter air, whilst exercising their brains in this quiz-like trail.”

The Festive Family Fun Trails start this weekend and run every Saturday and Sunday in the run up to Christmas, from 11am until 4pm.
