A big treat at The Flowerpot

One of the UK’s finest guitarist brings his band to The Flowerpot in Derby for a gig there on Saturday, November 21.

The Ali Clinton Band will be performing ahead of the release of Ali’s first album.

Ali Clinton is lead guitarist, singer and songwriter. Picking up the guitar aged seven, Ali quickly drew influence from his early heroes: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher.

Now well on the way to being a guitat virtuosos, Ali has recently released his debut EP under the veteran production skills of Mudd Wallace, and is currently writing his album.

Then, on Thursday, November 26, there will be a visit to the King Street venue from veterans Scottish outfit Big Country, with support coming from Remembering August.

Big Country are visiting as part of their Best Of tour.

Formed in Scotland in 1981, Big Country have become a global phenomenon, scoring 17 Top 30 singles and achieving five gold and platinum status albums along the way.

Their back catalogue includes such stirring songs as Fields Of Fire, Chance, In A Big Country, East Of Eden, Look Away, along with massive selling albums The Seer, Steeltown, Peace In Our Time and the triple Grammy-nominated The Crossing.

Doors open at 8pm and admission is £8 for the Ali Clinton Band and £20 for Big Country.
