THE ‘KING of the Underworld’, Baron Von Rockula, is back in town for a ghastly festival of hellish rock music at Mansfield Palace Theatre this month.
Carnival Du Vampires Rock is a futuristic rock musical which combine high flying vampire areial performances with some of the best loved hard rock hits.
In this show, Steve Steinman plays the supremely evil Baron Von Rockula, owner of the Live and Let Die club. Set in New York in 2030, in this story the baron is in search of a new bride. He must convince the unsuspecting singer Pandora who auditions at his club, to cross over to the dark side and live for ever in rock n’roll Hell.
Joining the Baron is a full cast of singers, dancers, Carnival Du Vampire performers and a live band who blast their way through some of the greatest ever rock anthems, including Sweet Child Of Mine, White Wedding, We Will Rock You, Bat Out of Hell, Highway to Hell, Since You’ve Been Gone, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Devil Gate Drive, I Love Rock n Roll, Poison and more.
With a twist of rock and a hint of comedy, the production team promises an amazing stage set and pyrotechnics.
And on stage this year will be a number of local performers. Choreographer for the show, Shareen Barlow, runs Reenie’s Rockettes Dance School in Mansfield and has auditioned hundreds of local girls to be involved.
