YOU could be joining the crowds at Mansfield’s new-look Berry Hill Park who will be rocking to the sounds of yesteryear at a special tribute concert.
The Back to the 60s and 70s Legends in the Park spectacular takes place on Saturday, 3rd September and will feature live tributes to the Kinks, Queen, Dusty Springfield and Motown.
And we have tickets to give away to the event in another competition.
Partygoers are being encouraged to bring their own food and refreshments, picnic chairs and blankets for the six-hour show.
Legends in the Park is the second major event to take place at the historic park since it was given a huge makeover by Mansfield Rotary Club - supported by Chad - at three community clean up days this year.
In June, more than 1,800 visitors defied wet weather to flock to a family fun day at the park and organisers hope September’s event will prove to be an even bigger hit.
The park will be transformed into an open air auditorium with the spruced up bandstand the focal point of the concert.
The six-hour music extravaganza will provide 2,500 concert-goers with a great opportunity to step back in time and celebrate some of the greatest sounds from eras gone by.
Music lovers will be able to rock along to the sounds of Freddie Mercury tribute act Bruce Game, pictured top, who has been featured on national TV and will perform hits from every decade of Queen’s legacy.
Tina Oberman has forged a name for herself as a leading Dusty Springfield tribute act, while the Kinx, pictured above, are regarded in a similar light.
The event will be similar to the annual concert at Clumber Park and is expected to kick-start a series of themed musical events at Berry Hill.
Proceeds from the event will be ploughed back into helping to maintain and improve the park.
Meanwhile, three pairs of tickets are available for Chad readers.
