Emily Reed (21) from Warsop, was lucky enough to mix backstage with JLS, Scouting For Girls, Conor Maynard and a host of other top pop acts at Girlguiding UK’s Big Gig at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.
Emily, who is leader at 1st Warsop Brownies and the 1st Warsop Guides, was one of dozens of volunteers who helped at the special Guide-only event.
Emily was given an ‘Access All Areas’ pass to help with getting the acts ready to perform and ensuring that they all had everything they needed, as well as answering any questions they had about guiding.
Emily said: “I can’t believe I was lucky enough to mingle with all the stars! My favourite part was sat chilling with Scouting For Girls while they played pool!”
The Big Gig is for Girlguiding UK members aged between 10 and 14 and is held every year.
Volunteering at the Big Gig is one of a number of opportunities open exclusively to Girlguiding UK members. Previous events have been held in Birmingham’s LG Arena and London’s Wembley Arena.
