A PERFORMANCE of brand new folk opera The Pauper’s Path will take place at Thoresby Riding Hall, near Ollerton, on 4th February.
The play is based on research carried out at Southwell Workhouse and tells the tale of seven people forced by circumstance to enter a 19th century workhouse and who manage to escape its clutches.
It features actors Mick Ryan, Paul Downes, Judy Dunlop, Heather Bradford, Maggie Boyle, Roy Clinging and Phoebe Kirrage, alongside members of the Thoresby Colliery Band.
Doors open at 7.15pm and it starts at 8pm. Proceeds go to Southwell Care Project.
