Piatti Quartet are latest visitors to Duffield music season

The December concert in the Music at Duffield season is to take place this weekend.

Appearing in the main hall at The Ecclesbourne School on Saturday, December 5, will be The Piatti String Quartet.

The Piattis are amongst the UK’s foremost young string quartets, with a host of awards and critically-acclaimed recordings to their name.

They have performed in all the major venues around the country, including a live BBC Radio 3 broadcast from the Wigmore Hall. The quartet has also appeared in Italy, Australia, Spain, Austria, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Germany and Holland, with national broadcasts on ABC (Australia) and RTE (Ireland) radio.

The concert starts at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) and the programme will feature Ravel’s Quartet In F, Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, D703, and the Quartet in A minor, Op.51, No. 2, by Johannes Brahms.

Ticket prices are £13 for adults, £12 for concessions and £6 for students.
