Volunteers are organising a music event in Mansfield to raise vital funds for Oxfam, which helps impoverished people around the world.
The Oxjam Mansfield team, who are aiming to raise £5,000 for the charity by the end of October, are hosting their Oxjam Hullabaloo-BBQ at the Ram pub, on Church Street, Mansfield, this Sunday (18th August).
The event will feature 12 local artists, including Sea Monster Eyes, Manuka Honey, James Dalby and The Future Boys. There will also be carnival-themed games and tombola plus an all-day barbecue with produce supplied by Wettons Butchers.
There will be music on the outdoor stage from 2pm until 10pm and under 18s are permitted with an adult until 6pm.
Volunteers have already kick-started their fundraising campaign with an event at the Bowl in Hand which raised £450. A number of events have been planned culminating with the main Oxjam Mansfield Takeover Festival on Saturday 19th October.
