MANSFIELD band TTL Overdrive are gearing up for another vital showdown in their bid to win a place to perform at London’s O2 Arena following their success in the Regional Finals of the Live and Unsigned competition.
The three piece group impressed judges at the Derby event and secured a place in the Area Final in Huddersfield on 20th May - just one performance away from the Grand Final at the O2.
Manager Katie Van Berlo said that the band were ‘in dreamland’.
“We’re going to try and fill a coach or two and we are hoping to take Mansfield with us!
“The fans that came along to Derby nearly took the roof off with their chants and shouting.”
TTL Overdrive is made up of Tom Mills (28), on vocalist and lead guitar, David ‘Tum’ Tumelty (31) on bass and percussionist Leon Goncearenko (28) and describe their sound as ‘solid, hard- hitting, modern blues’.
More than 10,000 acts entered Live and Unsigned, with the winners getting a £10,000 cash prize and the chance to appear on the Live and Unsigned festival tour.
