Idle Hands Blues Band to play Miller’s Blues Night at Kirkby

The Idle Hands Blues Band, a classic original British Blues Rock band based in Chesterfield, are to take the stage at The Millers Blues Night at Kirkby’s Miller’s Snooker Club on Thursday 30th September.

The group has produced six albums combining original material with re-worked Blues tracks.

The band was formed in 1989 by guitarist Dave Robinson and bassist Jamie Burns. They were joined in 1994 by vocalist Phil Allen who lists among his influences Ian Gillan, Glen Hughes and Robert Plant. The last member of the current line-up to join was Paul Heydon on drums in 2008.

The band come to Millers on the crest of a wave after appearances at major festivals this year, culminating in the Cambridge Rock festival at the beginning of August and the Colne Rock & Blues festival.
