WARSOP indie band Roger The Mascot are one step away from playing at the O2 in London.

The four-piece, currently looking for a new lead guitarist, wowed the crowd and judging panel at the Open Mic UK Regional Showcase in Sheffield and will now perform at the area final at Dewsbury Town Hall on 24th November.

Success there will see the band - vocalist and rhythm guitarist Daniel Vardy, bass player Matthew King and drummer Jamie Pickering - progress to the national final at The O2 in London on 19th January.

Roger The Mascot are currently recording their first album to be released next year, containing 10 tracks, which they describe as ‘of a very authentic indie variety’.
