Giles Robson at Millers

RENOWNED blues artists Giles Robson and the Dirty Aces will be performing at Miller’s Snooker Club in Kirkby tomorrow evening.

Harmonica player and songwriter Giles Robson has attracted critical acclaim after providing backing music to Muddy Waters’ son Mud Morganfield in 2010.

The band is made up of Filip Kozlowski, who plays guitar and co-writes songs with Giles, Mike Hellier on drums and double bassist Ian Jennings, who has toured and recorded with Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Champion Jack Dupree and Van Morrison.

A spokesman from Miller’s said: “Miller’s always strives to stretch the boundaries of the blues and present music lovers with a different take on an old musical style.

“With Giles Robson and the Dirty Aces there will be much that is familiar and much that is totally new, which is exactly how the blues should always be.”
