From jungle to forest for Westlife’s Kian

Former Westlife star Kian Egan has been announced as the special guest at Boyzone’s appearance at Sherwood Pines this summer.

One quarter of the Irish boy band Westlife, the most successful boy band of the last decade, Kian was crowned King of the Jungle when he won hit TV show I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! last year.

His debut solo album, ‘Home’ has already been released this year and is currently enjoying chart success with a Top 10 release in both the UK and Ireland.

Kian will appear at four Forest Live gigs with Boyzone, including a date at Sherwood Pines on Thursday, 12th June.

Commenting on his special guest slot, Kian said: “I am really looking forward to these gigs and of course it’s going to be a lot of fun to be out on tour with the boys!”

Boyzone are recognised as one of the most successful bands of the past two decades.

Their many accomplishments include twenty one singles, seven albums, twenty five million record sales, hundreds of gigs and millions of memories.

A phenomenal start to a musical career, they scored 16 consecutive top five singles such as ‘Love Me For A Reason’, ‘Father and Son’ and ‘Picture of You’ and the run included six number one’s ‘Words’, ‘A Different Beat’, ‘All That I Need’, ‘No Matter What’, ‘When The Going Gets Tough’ and ‘You Needed Me’.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.

Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the local forests for both people and wildlife.
