FIREWORKS will once again shoot into the sky over Bolsover Castle as part of a dramatic retelling of the story of the Gunpowder Plot.
Castle bosses have announced that a choreographed fireworks display set to classical music will take place at the English Heritage property on 4th November.
And this Saturday, Berry Hill Park in Mansfield will be lit up by a spook-tacular Hallowe’en fireworks display.
There will also be music from rock n’ roll band Jukebox Giants, rides, and a fancy dress competition for kids.
The Mansfield event, sponsored by Chad, Mansfield insurance firm Schools Advisory Service and Mansfield 103.2, was organised by the Trustees of Berry Hill Park and will fund ongoing redevelopment of the beauty spot.
The Bolsover event marks the return of fireworks to the castle after a two year break. A similar event run by Bolsover District Council which attracted thousands of visitors had fizzled out because it clashed with other events.
English Heritage events manager Lucy Hutchings said: “This will be a fireworks show with a difference bringing the story of Guy Fawkes to life through performance, music and special effects.”
Tickets for the Bolsover event are priced £8, £5 for children from the box office on 0870 3331183.
