THE waiting is nearly over and Miss Mansfield and Sherwood Forest 2012 will be crowned at a glittering ceremony this weekend.
Chad readers have voted for the 12 contestants who will feature in the event at the John Fretwell Centre at Sookholme on Saturday.
They selected their favourite dozen from the 20 hopefuls who were short-listed from the original entries.
Chad has led the search for the young woman who will be an ambassador for the town at a variety of events over the coming 12 months.
The winner will also go on to represent the area at the 2013 Miss England title and will also campaign for a charity of their choice.
On Saturday the 12 final contestants will compete in various categories before the winner is revealed by a panel of judges.
