RAINWORTH drummer Gareth Duffin (38) is pictured during a 24-hour drumathon in which he raised 1,435 Euros for Rudozem Street Dog Rescue charity, based in Bulgaria.
Gareth decided to get involved after witnessing the plight of the animals for himself while visiting friends in the Eastern European country.
He said: “Every time I get the news letter or I am in the area where my friends live I realise how bad it is.
“If you are an animal lover it is distressing to see.”
Gareth, who undertook the exhausting challenge at Dee’s Basement rehearsal Rooms, Forest Town, added: “The last six hours were difficult but the first 18 were strangely were very easy.”
