Bilsthorpe talent contest launched

BILSTHORPE is holding another talent competition for residents - and wants villagers to get involved.

In 2008 Bilsthorpe Youth Tenants’ and Residents’ Association was one of the first community organisations in local parishes to hold a talent contest and last November the live show was a sell-out with more than 250 residents watching 10-year-old dancer Kelise Dale win first prize and £100.

Now BYTRA is planning another competition for this year and wants villagers of any age - and any talent - to sign up to take part with prize money of £100 again on offer.

The finals night will be held on Saturday 17th November at Bilsthorpe Miners’ Welfare and is open to all genres, from musicians to comedians, magicians to novelty acts.

Hosted by Bobby Baguley and Corey Hughes, it will include will see various acts audition in front of three judges and a live audience for the chance to get through to the semi-final and then the final.

Would-be competitors should go to www.bytra.co.uk/talent to apply. Tickets for the show will be available from mid-October.
