PREPARATIONS are underway for Mansfield's bid for horticultural glory in this year's national Britain in Bloom competition.
After winning East Midlands in Bloom last year, Mansfield District Council is no looking for further success this year on a national level.

The town is going up against Stevenage, Gateshead, Taunton and Banbury in the competition's Small City/Large Town category.

Over the next two weeks, undercover judges will be visiting the district to get an idea of Mansfield's floral prowess, and the winners will be announced later this year.
