Man seriously injured in weekend crash in Mansfield

A MOTORIST was seriously injured when his vehicle left the road and smashed into a house in Mansfield during the early hours of Sunday morning.
The male driver of the black Volkswagen Golf GTI was travelling along Forest Road at around 1.45am when his vehicle collided with a parked car and then crashed into the property.

He was taken to King's Mill Hospital and his injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.

The road was closed by police until 8.15am.
