UNCONVENTIONAL entrepreneur John Batchelor has given everyone something to talk about this week –– and now it's time for the Stags Talk panel to have their say.
Batchelor has launched his own bid to take over Stags with a host of unusual and innovative proposals –– including re-branding the club as Sky TV's Dream Team side Harchester United.

Meanwhile former front-runner James Derry has dropped out of the race and resigned as chairman of Mansfield Town –– to be replaced as chairman by Mansfield mayor Tony Egginton.

And as the team fights to finally escape the dreaded drop zone, we look ahead to Saturday's crunch clash at the Mill against Barnet.

The truth is everything that every York fan has said about this guy is true.
Face it if it wasn'the would have sued.
Please keep well clear I would hate Mansfield to follow York down the route Batchelor took them down.
Biggest joke about Batchelor was a friendly that he arranged for York as a league club- home to Brackley Town what a preparation for the new season what a money spinner that was, even they felt embarrassed.
The mans a complete joke.
Let him explain how he managed to lose York so much moneyin a short period of time. Either totally inept business man or someone who's pocketed the takings?
Set the record straight JB.

PLEASE MANSFIELD STAY CLEAR OF THIS IDIOT.
He will destroy your club.
What kind of chairman offers half price season tickets to club already losing thousands by the week.
Then he changed our name to York city SOCCER club oh my god that was so embarrassing. He arranged for a very lucrative sponsorship deal but the cash was redirected to his tourning car team.
Then he wanted to create a break away league with a multi million pound sponsorship deal with an American battery company.
THE MAN NEEDS LOCKING UP FOR HIS OWN SAFETY.
Please refuse any offer from him.

Like another scribe from York wrote he has set the club back 10 years in just 18 months of leadership.

Look you really have to watch this shifty ****

If your club sponsorhip deal is coming up for renewal he will renew it and pocket the cash.

If your club owns the ground and the land is ripe for development, watch out he will help to separate it and you guessed it pocket the cash.

HE WANTED TO BAN OFFSIDE AND END NIL NIL draws for 's sake.

He wanted to arrange a new breakaway league consisting of the top (either european or domestic English) clubs and Celtic and Rangers with sponsorship by a battery company

Not 100% sure of the rebranding YCFC to YCSC was it to appeal to the American market?

He even donned a CITY top and played himeself in a friendly (came on last few minutes) thank the lord no-one would pass to him.

IN SHORT if he takes over PLEASE watch the shifty ****'s every move.

As a York City fan I would not wish this loathsome individual on Scarborough FC.

A publicity seeking con-man who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near any football club from the Premier League to Sunday Pub Teams.
