FOUR youth team players have been drafted into relegated Mansfield Town's injury hit squad ahead of Saturday's last match of the season.
And at least two of the youngsters are likely to figure at some point in the Stags' final match in the Football League - at least for one season - at Dagenham.
First teamers Alex John-Baptiste, Gareth Jelleyman and player of the season John Mullins are out injured.
And hot-shot Micky Boulding is also likely to be absent as he recovers from flu.
- Striker Louis leaves Mansfield Town
Coupled with the departure on Friday of striker Jefferson Louis - and the continued absence of the on-loan Ian Holmes - that means that youth will get its chance.
Manager Paul Holland has called up Ryan Goward, Lewis Trimmer, Jamie McGhee and Warren Burrell for the match in London.
Young player of the year Goward (18), who played in the 1-1 draw at Barnet earlier this season, could well figure in the defence - with Holland likely to select the back four from Keith Briggs, Jake Buxton, Chris Wood, Dan Martin (who has not started a match for several weeks) and Goward.
The strikeforce is likely to be chosen from Simon Brown and Rory Boulding, who have also hardly had much first team football recently, and Trimmer.
Trimmer struck seven goals in eight games for the youth team towards the end of the season and came on as a substitute for the first team in the four-goal home defeat at the hands of Wycombe in January.
McGhee (18) is a winger and Burrell plays in the midfield.
