As revealed at Chad.co.uk on Thursday, the controversial owner has agreed a deal with the James Derry consortium to sell the club for just £1 - and rent Field Mill to the new owners, giving them an option to buy the stadium.

But first he wants proof that the consortium has at least £0.5m ready to put into the Stags as working capital.
Mr Derry and his partner Steve Hymas on Thursday appealed for other businessmen and groups to match their proposed £250,000 investment into the club - after twice losing backers in a joint venture in the past two weeks, forcing the deal to stall at the last minute.
Now it has emerged over the weekend that Stags fans groups could be part of a future deal with the Derry consortium.
And it could be that supporters will be asked to make donations towards securing a possible place on the board of directors for a fans' representative.
It is thought that investors would be offered a seat on the board of directors and probably have to put forward between £50,000 and £100,000.
Mr Hymas has made it clear to Chad.co.uk that he and Mr Derry were prepared to stand aside and let others run the club if necessary.
And in a new development on Saturday Mr Derry revealed on BBC Radio Nottingham: "Fans groups have initimated that they would like to be part of the bid and I will be meeting them on Monday."
Mr Derry had told Chad on Friday that his appeal had produced several telephone calls from interested businessmen within a few hours. And on Saturday he added that he had already met with one possible partner and was planning meetings with two more.

On Sunday fans groups issued a statement to Chad confirming the talks between fans groups and the Derry consortium.
It said: "TEAM Mansfield had a number of meetings with James Derry, Stephen Booth and Steve Hymas on Thursday of this week.
"The situation was made clear to TM about the status of the Derry bid. As a consequence, a meeting was arranged with representatives of the Stags Supporters Association (SSA), TM and Stags Fans For Change (SFFC) to informally discuss ways forward for supporters to become more involved to help save our club.
"All the above groups, along with the OSSC, have agreed the need to act quickly and positively to the developments of recent days and are in broad agreement as to how to progress.
"Further to this, a meeting with James Derry has been arranged for Monday of next week.
"Further details hope to be announced as soon as possible and the SSA would like to remind all fans that a forum has been arranged for the evening of Thursday 20th March at 7.30pm in the X Bar, entry is by SSA/TM/OSSC membership card only due to limited capacity but half price SSA membership will be available on the night."
Over the weekend Mr Derry repeated his appeal from Thursday, saying: "I think it is a good deal.
"The club is losing money and first we have got to reverse that trend. Keith Haslam wants to see proof there is enough working capital.
"So I am saying to the business community in Mansfield : 'If you want a football club, come forward and put your money where your mouth is'
"Already three people have come forward and it is very encouraging.
"Fans groups have intimidated they would like to be part of the bid and there will be meetings on Monday."
Chief executive Stephen Booth, brought to the club in December to find a buyer, made the decision to go public with the appeal and details of the proposed sale - and he has stressed that Mr Haslam is ready to sign and a deal could be completed within a few days if the finances are in place.
