TWO Mansfield Town players have received international recognition after being called up for the England C squad.
The national non league squad boss Paul Fairclough has selected Jon D'Laryea and Nathan Arnold for the trip to Sarajevo to take on Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly.

Their call-up comes after the Stags' relegation to the Conference made Mansfield players eligible for the honour.

The game is being seen as vital preparation for the International Challenge Trophy Group A decider in Italy on 12th November.

The match, in the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo on Tuesday 16th September at 4.30pm, will be against the Bosnian A2 squad - the second string team which is used as a bridge between their U21 side and the senior team.

Although the Bosnian's will be an 'open-age' side, Fairclough has decided to go with an U23 side in preparation for the Italy match.

The full squad is:

Lance Cronin, Ebbsfleet
Adam Bartlett, Kidderminster Harriers
John Brayford, Burton Albion
Anton Robinson, Weymouth
Danny Gleeson, Cambridge United
Jonathan D'Laryea, Mansfield Town
Luke Foster, Oxford United
Carl Tremarco, Wrexham
James Smith, Ebbsfleet
Russell Penn, Kidderminster Harriers
Jamie Stevens, Crawley Town
Richard Brodie, York City
Luke Moore, Ebbsfleet
Mitchell Cole, Stevenage Borough
Shaun Harrad, Burton Albion
Nathan Arnold, Mansfield Town

Yeah great news 4 the lads, great experience to. May help them improve their game overall and will probably benefit us in the long run so long as they dont pick up any knocks.

hi adam, i share your frustration about crowds too. i said to someone last night would be nice for half that 15,000 to come to field mill. trouble is i dont think many people are bothered about the club in the town. i honestly believe people fell out of love with the club during the takeover farce and simply had enough. they wont be back and to be fair we are not taling about thousands staying away, its maybe 500 at most. we are only a small town and never had big support.

The low crowds may have something to do with the price. £300 a season ticket and £16 a game is a lot money and when there two games in a week, how can any 'normal' family afford to go....
Sorry to say but if they want the crowds back they've got to lower the price.

adam & benno i feel exactly the same i mean 4000 would be good enogh at home in the league and i mena about 85000 people live in mansfield and only 2700 are showin to home games. So were are the other 83000 all at home waiting on scores for man utd and chelsea i bet
