Mansfield Town head to York City for Tuesday night's Setanta Sport televised match second only in the BSP on goal difference.
But Billy McEwan knows that this first return to his old club for him will probably provide Stags' toughest test so far this season.
"It will be nice to go back there - I have spent many a long hour on their training ground and it will be good to go back there with my team.
"I have done my job there and it was a decent job so I don't think I wil have any problem going back therre. Some of the players went on the bigger and better things so I must have done something right.
"I had a good rappore with the fans and, even before I left, I wasn't geting criticism from them at all. So that made it a bit of a shock when the axe fell so to speak.
"But that's football and that was 100 years ago. It is time to move on.
"We want to get our first away win and, while we won't go there gung ho, we are certainly going for the win. It will be a positive performance.
"I am going back to my old club but it doesn't mean anything else other than three points. It will be a tough game. They are a decent side and it will be a big test for us."
For some of his players, this wil be a TV debut for them and he has no idea how it might affect them.
"Some of them are untried in front of the cameras - it will be new to them so it will be interesting to see how they go.
"I don't want any showboating or posing about on TV. We are not TV stars, we are professional footballers earning a living and need to stay level headed."
Striker Jason Lee is a doubt after limping off on Saturday and Anthony Robinson and Aaron O'Connor will both be hoping to get the call to treplace him if he doesn't make it.
McEwan could have another couple of loan players in to bolster his squad in time for the trip.
But he said he would not be adding any permanent signings to his squad before today's transfer deadline.
"I have one or two loan players lined up and I have been assured by their clubs that all I have to do is pick up the phone if I need them and they can come."
