MANSFIELD Town FC's decision to open its ticket office into Wednesday evening, ahead of Saturday's local derby with Notts County, has paid dividends.
For yesterday the club sold around 300 more tickets for the match, with a lot of those sales coming during the well publicised additional opening hours.

There are still around 900 tickets left for home supporters for the all-ticket big match and these can be purchased upto 5pm on Friday evening at Field Mill.

Capacity for the match has been raised to just over 5,000 and Notts County have still to sell out their 1,335 allocation.

Nottinghamshire County Council say there is no further news on lifting capacity at Field Mill beyond the slight increase announced earlier in the week to allow for extra away supporters.

The council's Safety Advisory Group raised the restriction in the North Stand from 50% to 70% after the club completed turnstile monitoring work. But the West and South stands remain at 50%.
