EXPERIENCED striker Mark Stallard made it three goals from three games as the Stags' unbeaten start to the season continued with the thrilling 4-2 win over Kidderminster.
Afterwards he celebrated a great sporting day for Mansfield, which had begun in the early hours with Rebecca Adlington's second Olympic games gold medal and finished with the Stags riding high in the Blue Square Premier.
Stallard coolly gave the Stags the lead from the penalty spot, winning and then converting the penalty with a deft chip down the centre of the goal as the keeper dived away to his left.

The striker then took his tally to three goals in three games when he was gifted a simple second, a close ranghe tap-in, in first half injury time by the keeper.
Afterwards he told Chad: "It was definitely a penalty, he (the defender) clipped my heels.

"I have taken a lot of penalties and they hold no worries for me. I have volunteered to take them here, I am a striker and that is what strikers do, score goals . . . though I hope there is a lot more to my game than that.
"It is all a game of bluff and counter bluff and it would be a brave keeper than stands still, so I just chipped it down the middle.
"Really penalties can go one way or the other, either you score or you don't.
"The second goal was a gift and a bit of a freak. The keeper has had a rush of blood, but I will take those goals every week.
"And I am a bit disappointed that I didn't get the hat-trick, I had a good chance earlier with a lob that just went over the bar.
"But three goals in three games is a great start for me and seven points from nine for the team is great, too, a decent week for the club.
"You would have taken that at half-time at Ebbsfleet when we were two goals down, that's for sure.
"But we won't get carried away. We know there is still a lot of hard work to do and we know that it wasn't a great performance today. We are a new group of players and we will be working hard in training to improve."

Stallard, fast becoming a fans' favourite, also had words of praise for the supporters - and Mansfield's new sporting star, double Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington.
He added: "The fans have been fantastic, first down at Ebbsfleet when so many travelled such a long way and then in both home games they have been brilliant.
"It has been a great weekend for Mansfield sports fans I guess. We have just watched a re-run of Rebecca winning the gold on a TV screen in the dressing room.
"I would like to send out all our congratulations to her. I am sure there are many, many people not just in Mansfield, but in Nottinghamshire and Britain who have been delighted by her success."
