THE new regime at Field Mill began work this week ahead of the expected takeover of ownership of Mansfield Town Football Club.
Earlier in the week chad.co.uk first revealed that John Thorpe and Ian Randall will be part of James Derry's team to run the club, once his consortium finally takes over from Keith Haslam.

And both experienced businessmen, who will become associate directors, have quickly got down to work ahead of the £500,000 takeover.

Mr Thorpe, who will come in on a consultancy basis, told Chad on Thursday that he had already been at the club to help staff.

He said: "I am here to help people revitalise and re-energise the systems, processes and practices around the football club."
