STAGS manager Billy McEwan is unhappy about the timing of the England C team's friendly in Bosnia and Herzegovina, after call-ups for two Mansfield players.
Nathan Arnold and Jon D'Laryea were this week named in a squad of promising U23 players for the non-League international in Sarajevo next month and McEwan said: "It is good for the club and the players to have call-ups – but bad for the manager.

"Why are they playing a friendly away in Bosnia now – someone tell me?
"When they go away players can get injured, come back with jet lag and sometimes their heads get filled with nonsense while they are there.
"I know it is between games but I can't do much with the group of players I have here that week when I have players missing.
"This is not a slight at England. I am just thinking of Mansfield Town and the group I have here. Some will say think of the two players but I am thinking about all of my players as it will affect all of them.
"We had this at York when I was there, but they were playing in tournaments at the end of the season which is different."
