MANSFIELD Town's holiday match at relegation rivals Bury goes ahead after a Monday morning pitch inspection.
The pitch at Gigg Lane had been waterlogged after the melting of heavy snow in the early hours on Sunday left standing water on the pitch.
Referee Steve Tanner carried out a pitch inspection at 9am on Monday and gave the game the go ahead.
The Stags had already had many matches postponed this season for a variety of reasons, from the weather, to international call-ups and a lack of water at Field Mill!
Stags head for Gigg Lane having drawn there the last two seasons and won there the season before that. The sides drew 1-1 at Field Mill - Mansfield's only home point from the last 30 available.
But away from home the Stags have been flying and won six and drawn one of their last seven.
Bury's form has been patchy with four wins and three draws plus three defeats in their last 10. But it is enough to give them 18th spot - 10 points ahead of Mansield.
Caretaker manager Paul Holland is desperate for a win today as the club look to make a full time appointment this week. He may give full debuts today to loan signings Kevin Horlock and Neil Wainwright after Saturday's 2-1 home disappointment against Grimsby.
