Stags tonic for poorly children

MANSFIELD Town FC players and coaching staff brought some Christmas sparkle to King's Mill Hospital's children's wards on Tuesday.
A host of first team players handed out gifts and goodies to children on the Robin Hood and Blandy wards, as well as signing autographs and posing for photographs.
Manager Billy Dearden, assistant boss Paul Holland and members of the club's Football in the Community team, which organises the annual festive visit, joined them.
The players themselves bought many of the gifts, while others were donated by fans following an appeal in the club's match day programme and in Chad.
Stags' football in the community officer Mark Hemingray said: "We were delighted to once again bring along players and management staff to King's Mill's children's wards this Christmas."
Modern matron Angie Stewart told Chad: "We are really grateful to local groups and organisations such as the Stags who take time out to visit the children on our wards and donate gifts. Without them Christmas would not be as special for the children."
