STAGS are hoping their complaint against Blue Square North club Northwich Victoria over money owed will see a cheque arrive at Field Mill very soon.
The Vics still owe Mansfield £4,000 wages for the time they had Jon D'Laryea on loan before they took him full time.

Ironically, they have since sold D'Laryea on to Eastwood Town for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £10,000.

Their patience exhausted, Stags finally made a complaint to the Conference two weeks ago which has resulted in a £2,500 fine for the Vics and a warning that if they do not pay up by 31st March then they will be fined a further £,7,500 and deducted 10 points.

"We are now expecting a cheque from them by the end of next month and we also have a sell-on clause on top of that to come from Jon's move," said chairman Andy Perry.

"We are all finding it tough and £4,000 is a lot of money in anyone's books.

"Northwich agreed they would send us the money if we paid Jon's wages to him while he was on loan and then invoiced them, but they have not been forthcoming so we made the complaint.

"We have been very patient and they have had a windfall from two televised games as well as selling Jon."

delboy the Stag,

stagsfan48 & Bungus,i see the Notts County saga goes on.
I know you think i shouldnt `Gloat`,but their fans did their fair share of gloating & taking the pee, when they thought millions were to be pumped into their Club.....And the Stags & Florist were the ones they were gloating over!!!
Remember the way they treated Nottm Rugby Club.Last season they were only too happy to let them play at Murder lane, then they wanted them out when they thought they had dosh. The rugby club had to take NCFC to court, because they had a contract to use the ground.
Today, they`ve agreed a SEVEN YEAR deal to let them play there.Marvellous, that they suddenly want Nottm Rugby Club back, but it`s only because they aint got a pot to pee in.
I also remember that they employ a Striker, who is a convicted Killer,so i have no love or sympathy for them!!!
I do have a lot of envy though, now that they`ve got Steve Cotterill as Manager.
He`s who i wanted here & would still want him!!!

oldstag,personally,i`d have Cotterill even now!
As for your observation on JD,spot on!
If he was worth 10k,why did we let him go for nowt?
Why did we let DC go for nowt?
Why did we let Luke Graham go for nowt?
Strange?

Totally agree with delboy.
The thing about lee Hughes that makes me sick is how he still does his stupid merry jig when he scores a goal.
He should be a bit more humble in the fact that he can still run around a pitch and not be 6 foot under like his poor victim.
He should hang his head in shame for doing that.he should consider his victims family when he next scores.

let him go for nowt del and the threw in 14k.
then 5k on his replacement istead, that makes 19k
then threw our selfs out of the cup another 30k minimum
threw ourselfs out of the trophy say 20k minimum
thats 69k so far
.play offs are our saviour

warsop-stag,i`ve always said that if we EVER sign Lee Hughes, then i stop being a Stags fan....FACT!
What that poor excuse for a human being did should never be forgotten.
His wife is as bad, because she hid him from Police for 32 hours,so the booze was out his system.
He totally disgusts me!

Thanks Oxford,Tamworth & Gateshead.
Oxford & Gateshead for winning & Tamworth for letting Kettering win.
3 good results for us.

do i sense a bit of optimism there del!!!.
9 at home =27 points=total 80 is that enough for play offs ,81 last season.
as we have said before sat is a must win ,to take the pressure of the home matches,
hayes 3 match unbeaten run, look what we did to tamworth with there record,i dont think they have recovered yet ,

delboy the Stag,

oldstag,i`m ALWAYS optimistic............lol
It`s just that when I get optimistic,they go & b*lls everything up!
Rushden v Kettering saturday,so there must be other occasions, before 24th April, where the top sides play each other, which HAS to benefit us.
If Chester go t*ts up it will be tougher, but its in our own hands,so if we dont make the Play-Offs there can be little in the way of excuses.......Mind you DH does usually have a few up his sleeve.......lol
I WANT them to prove me wrong,so i`m sticking to my 7th to 10th finishing position.
9 home & only 5 away........Jesus,if we cant make it with games like that, then we dont deserve to be there!!!

delboy the Stag,

By the way,i cant understand Blue Square`s betting odds.
Luton are 4th favourites to win the League at 9/1
We are 7th favourites at a STAGgering 50/1.

How do they work that one out?
They`re 3 points up on us & played 1 game less. They`ve still got to come to the Mill,so if we win that game there`s sod all in it.
Very STRANGE,or do they know something that we dont???
To be fair,Luton have no chance of catching Oxford!
