Stags in keeper riddle

MANSFIELD Town are reported to have pulled out of a deal to sign Danish keeper Jan Budtz.
The keeper was expected to join the Stags on a season-long loan from Hartlepool this week according to reports in the north east, but the move appears to have fallen through.
Budtz was Pool's first choice for the first half of last season, but then fell out of favour.
Pool boss Danny Wilson had been hoping to replace Budtz at the Victoria ground with Aberdeen's Derek Soutar.
But today Soutar told the Aberdeen Press and Journal: "Something happened at the last minute. It doesn't look like it is going to happen."
Budtz (29) is six foot four and has played for Doncaster Rovers and Wolves before Hartlepool, including making a national name for himself when in 2005 he saved two out of three penalties in a TV League Cup tie against Manchester City.
The Stags currently have former Nottingham Forest keeper Paddy Gamble at Field Mill on trial as they look to strengthen the goalkeeping department at the Mill.
Gamble and current number one Jason White shared duties at Hucknall last Saturday, but Gamble played the full 90 minutes of the friendly at Ilkeston on Tuesday.
