Tuesday, 30th September

17.22: Two trialists have been named in tonight's reserve team line up at Walsall. They are Swansea City goalkeeper David Knight and free agent Ricky Baines, a central defender. New signing James Kay is also expected to feature.

16.02: The Stags' FA Youth Cup Second Qualifying Round tie away at Stamford AFC is on Monday 6th October, kick-off 7.45pm at the Vic Couzens Stadium.

15.52: STAGS boss Billy McEwan today paid tribute to fellow Scot and former Derby County colleague Jimmy Sirrell who has passed away.
The legendary Notts County boss (86) died early this morning and McEwan said: He was a great, great football man and will be sorely missed by football people.Jimm was a very passionate man who lived for football. I learned a lot from him. I first met Jimmy in 1993 at Derby County and he made me feel very welcome. He was a great storyteller and any time he walked into a room he made you laugh. I didn't even know until I met him at Derby that he had tried to sign me when I was a young boy in Scotland."
