16.00: Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough has agreed a deal to sign former Stags skipper Jake Buxton. The 23-year-old mMnsfield lad had been granted a free transfer to allow him to achieve his ambition of staying in the Football League. However, after a trial at Crewe failed to win him a deal, he has now ended up down the road at Mansfield's newest local rivals. Buxton featured in Burton's 1-0 friendly win over Walsall at the weekend.

13.54: Fans unable to get to the Stags big two home friendlies this weekend against Derby County (Saturday) and Sheffield United (Monday) can listen to all the action at the club's official Stagsworld site. Click here for details.

Thursday 24th July

20.10: A minute's applause will be held on Saturday ahead of the friendly with Derby County in honour of former player Alan 'Digger' Daley (80) who died in June. Full details at the club's website mansfieldtown.net Mansfield born, Daley began his playing career at Pleasley BC before joining Mansfield Town in 1946. He did not play for them that season and soon moved on to Hull City. A fast and direct left winger, Daley returned to Field Mill for three seasons between 1953 and 1956, scoring 26 goals with his powerful shot in 97 games, moving on to Stockport County. The journeyman ended up playing at 14 different clubs, ending his career with a move back to the area from Burton Albion to play for Sutton Town.

19.40: As predicted earlier in the day, Michael Boulding and his brother Roy complete a protracted transfer to Bradford, having rejected new Stags deals. Click here for details.

15.56: The Bouldings are now expected to sign for Bradford after Cheltenham boss Keith Downing reveals details of a phone call with their father. Click here for details.

13.30: Ex-Stags star Micky Boulding has still to decide whether or not to move to Cheltenham, the Robins boss said today. Click here for details.

13.12: Sacked Stags boss Paul Holland today backed successor Billy McEwan's bid to get the club back into the League. Holland said he was 'disappointed but not bitter' over his departure. Click here for full story.

19.06: Ex-Stags strikers Micky and Rory Boulding are on the verge of a move to Cheltenham, according to reports. Click here for details.

18.00: Stags' reserve friendly at Ilkeston Town tomorrow night has now been upgraded to a first team game. New boss Billy McEwan will use it to have another look at the 10 trialists he used in Saturday's 1-0 win at Hucknall, possibly with one or two new trialists too.

12.52: Defender Gareth Jelleyman, who rejected a new contract offer from Stags manager Billy McEwan, has signed for Rushden subject to a medical today (Monday).

12.42: The Stags Supporters Association has announced that it will be providing travel to all away matches this season and has urged fans to renew their membership or join the group for the first time. Click here for report.

The following weekend there are two matches in three days against Derby and Sheffield Utd for the first team, before a final first team friendly at Boston on 2nd August. The reserves have matches at Ilkeston on Tuesday 22nd, Alfreton the following Tuesday and Matlock on Monday 4th August.

10.38: Former Stags star Richie Barker has finally lifted the lid off his controversial departure 18 months ago. Barker last night told Chad he was 'forced out the door', had wanted to spend the rest of his career at Mansfield and said he was very surprised to recently learn that the fee Haslam received for him at the time was actually as much as £100,000.
