Sunday 25th May

21.06: Former Stags defender Martin McIntosh (37), released by the club, has joined Blue Square North Alfreton Town. The experienced central defender was released from Field Mill at the end of March on transfer deadline day - after an unsuccessful first season at the Stags blighted by injury. He started just 10 matches for Mansfield after joining from Huddersfield.

Thursday 22nd May

16.22: Axed midfielder Jon D'Laryea today confirmed that he was on manager Paul Holland's original retained list, later altered by owner Keith Haslam and chief executive Stephen Booth. Click here for full story.

10.22: The Stags announce another pre-season friendly, at Boston United on Saturday 2nd August.

22.30: A Mansfield business leader has urged firms in the area to back new Mansfield Town supporters group Stags Fans United (SFU) — and its call for companies to withhold sponsorship until owner Keith Haslam sells the football club. Click here for report.

16.42: John Mullins has rejected a new contract offer and insists he wants to stay in the League. Click here for full story.

15.39: Stags this afternoon announced another pre-season friendly with former League Two rivals Grimsby Town visiting Field Mill on Friday, 25th July, kick-off 7.45pm.

15.20: Paul Holland today admitted the retained list released contained changes to the one he submitted to the club and insisted Carl Muggleton would return if he stays on as manager next season. Click here for full story.

09.50: Stags' 'want-away' defender Alex John-Baptiste is being offered for sale 'on the cheap' ahead of an expected sale of Mansfield Town FC this week.But it does suggest the club is really on the verge of a takeover. Click here for full story.

Tuesday 13th May

16.15: Stags' 25-goal star Mickey Boulding was 'highly commended' in the League Two Golden Boot award for 2007/2008. Peterborough United's Aaron Mclean registered 33 goals in his first full season at London Road to take the award. Milton Keynes Dons' French goalkeeper Willy Gueret won the League Two Golden Glove award with 23 shut-outs as his side stormed to a League and Johnstone's Paint Trophy double.

Monday 12th May

Noon: Manager Paul Holland and his playing staff remained in limbo this morning as everyone awaits an announcement on the club takeover. Click here for full story.

16.20:Stags will take on the might of Leeds United behind closed doors as part of their pre-season preparations. Leeds have agreed to play three 30 minute sessions against Mansfield and boss Paul Holland is hopeful another top club may agree to do the same. More pre-season friendlies have been arranged along with the prestigious game already announced against Sheffield United on Monday, 29th July. Stags will send a squad to Shepshed (15th July, 7.30pm), Hucknall Town (19th July, 3pm), Ilkeston Town (22md July, 7.30pm), Alfreton Town (29th July, 7.30pm) and a youth/reserves side to Teversal on 12th July (3pm). Efforts to find a date to play at Telford have so far been unsuccessful. Two more home games will be added soon.

10.10: A £9,000 10-week project to reseed the Field Mill pitch began today as Stags try to make it one of the best surfaces in the Conference after being voted among the top five in the League Two awards this season. After removing the top quarter inch of the surface, down will go 20 x 20kg bags of seed with 40 tons of sand and the new grass should be fully grown by the end of June.
