STAGS midfielder Tom Shaw has left the club and joined Blue Square North Tamworth.
Shaw (22), who was released by Rushden in the summer, did feature for the Stags in pre-season friendlies.
But he has not featured for the first team, other than as a substitute 11 times, since the start of the season.
And following a request to Stags boss Billy McEwan, the player was released and allowed to join the Lambs.
Shaw signed for the Stags on 8th August, just ahead of the new season.
Tamworth manager Gary Mills says the 22-year-old could be in line for his debut in Saturday's FA Cup tie at home to East Thurrock.
"Tom is a player that I feel will compliment the squad that I already have," said Mills.
"He came out of the Nottingham Forest academy and has a good attitude.
He has not been playing regularly for Mansfield and that has surprised me a bit so when he became available I was keen to bring him in.
"He likes to get in the box and puts himself about a bit and I think he will be a big asset."
